I think we should do like the others, ... count everything just to give our players the habit of hiding everything for the enemy fire and scanning eyes... same for the head and marker, ... except maybe when we have a very small number of players!
I wonder how the others make the difference between a splashed and a bursted?!!

I guess they have enough refs to be able to tell when someone is hit rather than splashed from many shots.

To be Honest playing in a small group, that are actually interested,I seriously doubt you will need many rules if any, except do bounces count
no point playing in a group if there is going to be cheating very easily found out and dumped or even a firing squad, ouch....
One thing though a biggie safety,my m8 and I were playing a game with folk with there own guns the other day and games were safe but after guys hadnt unloaded there guns and walking around and everyone was demasked,it only takes one ball to blind you....

Having played a few games at pukker sites and not so pukker sites, i now realise that walkie talkies are an excellent piece of kit for these reasons
everyone knows when the games on and over-safer
you know if a member of the public wanders into the area or the bobbies:0)
you can formulate strategies on the hoof
you can find your guys easier and turn around games faster(saving time and energy)
you can listen to the marshalls, and get info like just coming up to your guys now, where did you hide that box again and agghh im being shot at.
you can assist in looking for lost team member/s who do not have a radio(like 2 of us at skirmish) I found em.
I recently used them for work and had a manager tailing me and didnt know where he was going, we were going a bit faster than we should on back roads and were excellent for talking about work and dangers coming up like tractors and scaffy wagons..grr we could have used phones but there was c-ap signal strength
anyone serious about paintball should consider investing in a set of radios could save your time, energy

Totally, I got two sets of two from the US, should have thought beforehand that they wouldnt be compatible with UK frequencies, but they're such an awesome tool, and really not that expensive too... Get them!!!!!

That could be a good thing haggis as less neds in town on this frequency although you could in theory get done for using them as you need a licence. Just dont be giving land marks(ie rivers, hills, bridges, road names, etc),phone numbers or full names of folk and of course street names and you should be safe enough.
How do I know this you ask well im a radio ham and you actually transmit on, off the top of my head on 433 mhz, should say on your radio set, this is american FRS(Family Radio Service) frequencies, which in the UK is set aside for radio hams, there is approx 25 active hams in aberdeen not that im bothered but most would shop you to the law for using the frequency, just follow the safety advice and you will have less chance of getting caught, alternatively you could become a ham and you would be LEGAL for that anyway

Hmm, sounds complicated..... So theres no way of converting the Yank radios to work 'properly'? I think I'll take the risk of being reported, sounds far easier!!! El Presidente

There is not much chance of you disturbing the Emergency services with those unless you started tinkering with them, then I would get annoyed(which is another story). Its not the police you have to really worry about its theyre techies at Queen St or the OPCOM who look after the airbands for the UK,as I said before minimal(if thats how u spell it) chance unless your silly.

Yeah I like tinkering, but it usually ends up with various carpet coloured screws disappearing onto the floor.. Im leaving the radios alone, they work, so i aint gonna try an fix them! Why would you get annoyed? El Presidente
